    The Training Coordinator helps oversee new employees onboarding experience, training, and knowledge by developing and implementing learning strategies. The position uses adult-learning theories to leverage social learning, as well as, create e-learning and blended learning modules to help individuals learn and grow. The Training Coordinator works as part of the Residential Team, who provide insightful perspectives, and aid programs to ensure they support practices that promote the best interest of the child and families in their care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the expansion of agency initiatives, including training staff and supervisors in the successful implementation of the CARE (Children And Residential Experience) model
    • Analyze performance needs, goals and objectives to develop training programs to meet business results
    • Use learning metrics and analytics to measure the impact of training and development solutions through surveys and present results to leadership
    • Develop a systematic process to improve leaders’ ability to set goals, motivate employees, and leverage the strengths of their staff
    • Responsible for creating learning plans that are position specific and guide Program Leaders to maximize learning within their departments
    • Instructing by utilizing various learning technologies companywide to address specific training and development needs, including coaching, job-shadowing, and online training
    • Conduct and facilitates effective New Hire and In-service training sessions
    • Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, and other training curriculum programs
    • Deliver formal and informal learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective
    • Responsible for maintaining current with all industry specific training trends, developments and best practices
    • Provide necessary support to ensure programs are in compliance with Agency, Local, State, and Federal Regulations
    • Maintain well versed knowledge of state and local service delivery requirements and service definitions
    • Support Program Leaders with audit preparation and resolving corrective action specific for internal departments  
    • Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill THOMPSON CFF’s mission to the community

    Position Specifications and Education:
    • A Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of experience in the human service field.
    • Must be familiar with e-learning platforms and practices.
    • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • QP credential also required.
    • Professional certification (ex. CPLP) is a plus.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

     

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be able to function as a creative self-starter, working independently, and contributing to the team.
    • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizations
    • Demonstrate understanding of Project Management Life Cycle

     

    For Training and Development purposes, the Training Coordinator must maintain sufficient physical agility and stamina to demonstrate physical intervention techniques. This includes, bending, stooping, kneeling, and holding individuals. In addition, there may be occasional contact with violent, unruly, or uncooperative clients. In such cases, the Training Coordinator is expected to employ de-escalation strategies to assist the individual in regaining control of their emotions. In case of emergency, the Training Coordinator must be agile enough to control and rapidly extricate him/herself and children and adolescents from buildings. Must be capable of sitting and working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above.  #TCFFJOBS
