Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Vantage Air Team, including the Flight Choice agents, the Flight agents, the Air Costing Analyst, the Air Robotics agent & FlightWatch
  • Schedules rotation of worker assignments to improve capabilities of personnel and develop worker overall knowledge of department activities
  • Ensures air operations deliverables are completed on time & accurately:  booking & ticketing the highest quality air routings at the lowest prices to recognize a positive air variance 
  • Directs investigation of customer complaints regarding reservation services and prepares correspondence designed to improve customer relations.
  • Ensures that all air timelines are met or exceeded, with a focus on Cost & Quality
  • Manages all Airline Contracts & Relationships
  • Supports the Air Product Strategy Document process & the Air Costing process, as needed
  • Analyzes space requirements & ensure group block space is managed appropriately 
  • Supports proofing process of all materials for air related information
  • Coordinates Sabre trainings for the Call Center
  • Hires, trains & manages air staff  
  • Conducts weekly team meeting to ensure that issues and action items are addressed in a timely and effective manner
  • Support customer service in relation to all flight related issues
  • Supports the Vice President of Worldwide Operations

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.    
  • Minimum 7 years of Sabre experience a must. 
  • No certifications needed
  • 10 Years Plus of Sabre or similar GDS Experience

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Air Team & all related deliverables 
  • 9 direct reports include:  Air Costing Analyst, Air Robotics Analyst, 6 Flight Choice agents & Airport services manager. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
