Thompson, located in the Charlotte/Matthews area, is seeking bilingual Residential Care Specialists (RCS) in a new residential program opening soon that supports a largely Spanish speaking population of adolescents ages 12-17.
The ideal candidate is able to exhibit a positive, upbeat attitude every day and build safe, caring, supportive relationships with the youth in our care. This position teaches and models healthy relationships and effective communication.
The primary responsibility of the RCS is to supervise, support, and interact with youth every day to ensure that every youth has a good day, every day.
Required education and skills
This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of population specific experience working with youth. An Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field with a minimum of two years of population specific experience working with youth preferred.
