Thompson Child & Family Focus is one of the most widely respected non-profits in the Carolinas; serving youth, families & adults through multiple mental health programs & various levels of care. We take pride in our positive, empowering culture and are looking for strong therapists to join our team!
We are currently interviewing for a Reach Therapist (In-home Therapy Service, IHTS) to join our team. This is a full-time position that is eligible for a robust benefits package. The Reach Therapist must be fully licensed in the State of North Carolina (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and possess a passion for supporting children, youth and families to achieve their goals through an evidenced-based model.
We currently train clinicians in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the Reach program and invest in our clinicians if they have interest in becoming rostered in Trauma-Focused CBT (TFCBT) and other evidence-based models. The Reach Therapist will also have the opportunity to access on-site trainings for CEU’s, networking opportunities with leaders in the Mental Health services community and grow their personal & professional skill sets.
Meeting the family in the home for therapy can be one of the most rewarding ways to see change and growth as a therapist because families are much more comfortable and able to be their authentic selves. The Reach Therapist will meet families in their home or community for the majority of their therapy sessions, with a small percentage of sessions that can be done in the office towards the end of treatment to prepare for Outpatient therapy.
Therapists who are already credentialed with insurance carriers (Medicaid & private) are strongly preferred. **Provisional licensed Therapists will NOT be considered per the service definition through Cardinal**
