Job Summary – Analyst, Revenue and Costing in Boston, MA

We are looking for an energetic Revenue & Costing Analyst to join our growing Revenue Management team in Downtown Boston, MA.  We prefer 1-2 years of Pricing and Revenue Management experience. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field is required.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Management, the ideal candidate will analyze inventory allocations, capacity controls, and pricing structures for each product line. To be successful in this position, strong quantitative skills and keen attention to details are crucial.  Analyst should have prior experience with data and report building. 

This company is run by the numbers and strictly adheres to weekly reporting and holding associates accountable to their numbers. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct implementation of pricing and capacity controls for all products, including single and triple inventory
  • Maintain Product Costings and passenger forecasts to feed forecast process
  • Conduct variance calculations against historical data, and assist in report building process
  • Update and maintain point in time and operational reports; data analysis and interpretation of results
  • Actively monitor changes to cabin categories, optional extensions and tours
  • Build price grids and proof promotional print materials, web product pages, and email pricing content
  • Assist Revenue Managers with key analytical projects and ad hoc duties

Qualifications 

  • Bachelors - Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics required
  • 1-2 years of Pricing and Revenue Management experience preferred
  • 2 years of travel/hospitality experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, formatting, v-look ups); SQL experience a plus
  • Highly analytical mindset and strong desire to identify key process improvements
  • Ability to complete projects under very tight deadlines and frequent changes
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings
