Summary

Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This position needs to be cross trained to operate register as well and even be scheduled in that position as needed.

Need to be able to execute daily stocking plan and receive direction for any special projects.

Guest service still remains top priority and must be placed above any physical task being performed.

Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.

Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.

Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.

Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.

Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.

Stocks and issues materials or merchandise on both sides of store.

Stocks soda/beer coolers

Front faces all items throughout store

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Reports to inventory control manager when possible, guest service leader when not possible.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of  Word Processing software and  Spreadsheet software.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
