Position Summary:
As our Contract Specialist, you will provide support and act as an advisor to the federal sales, legal and executive teams in order to comply with federal procurement regulations and secure new business. The ideal candidate will possess business and technical savvy; exemplary organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex federal projects within the technology/hosted space.
Location: Atlanta, GA or Arlington, VA
Reports to: VP, Federal Sales
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct full life-cycle contract management (“cradle to grave”):
- Pre-award functions include conducting market research, coordinating with stakeholders, publicizing contract actions, soliciting requirements, drafting evaluation of offeror’s proposal(s), and drafting awards.
- Post-award functions include contract administration, contract actions (i.e. modification) and contract closeout.
- Develop, prepare and present terms and conditions in proposals related to the award of contracts.
- Perform all functions in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and all other applicable regulations and policies.
- Understand and be aware of, Juvare information security policies and standards.
- Always protect company and client information.
- Inform the Compliance Officer or hot line of any information security issues.
- Compliance with Juvare policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of federal government procurement/acquisition experience.
- Knowledge of, and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Experience working with qualified WBE, DBE, SDB, MBE, SBA, VOB and other partners.
- FAC-C or DAWIA Level III certification in contracting preferred.
- DOD experience a plus.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
