Structures Mechanic

SSE is a leading technology company serving St. Louis, MO and Jacksonville, FL for over 30 years. We develop aviation courseware training, virtual training environments, technical publications, and supply personnel to the aerospace industry for some of the most advanced military and commercial aircraft platforms. We are seeking skilled Structures Mechanic to join our team in Klamath Falls, OR.

Structures Mechanics are able to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas. Ability and understanding of locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure. Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes. Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair. Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as an aircraft structures mechanic, depot level modification and repair level
  • Experience reading blue prints, schematics, or other engineer drawings
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team with diverse cultures
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.”
  • US Secret Clearance is required to start
  • Candidate may be asked to travel to other locations.
  • Candidate must possess an interim secret clearance at a minimum.
  • Individuals must possess their own personal standard tools and possess personal safety shoes compliant with ANSI standards.
  • Additionally, individual must be willing to work nights and overtime as required
