SSE is a leading technology company serving St. Louis, MO and Jacksonville, FL for over 30 years. We develop aviation courseware training, virtual training environments, technical publications, and supply personnel to the aerospace industry for some of the most advanced military and commercial aircraft platforms. We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.

This requisition is for an USAF, Crew Chief,  F-16 experience preferred

A person in this position does the following; maintains repairs and modifies aircraft components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, while applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. The candidate must be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.

The candidate must be able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.

The candidate must be able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment (safety glasses, bump cap, highly visible vest on the ramp) and perform assigned duties

The candidate will be required to perform other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, or employee(s) on all shifts 

The candidate must have computer knowledge to gain access to work orders and technical directives in order to perform the assigned tasks. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.”

US Secret clearance preferred or must be able to obtain.
