The Role:
Geronimo Energy is seeking an Associate Developer to support utility-scale solar project development activities and program management for the pipeline of projects within the market.
What You are Actually Doing:
- Work closely with Geronimo Energy’s Development team on various items needed to develop solar projects across the US.
- Conduct solar site selection and screening.
- Complete, track and organize interconnection applications and processes.
- Complete, track and organize program details for submission and acceptance of projects.
- Follow policies and regulatory changes to identify market issues and solutions.
- Work and support the needs of the land acquisition and contractor teams.
- Support the permitting team on obtaining entitlements (land use permits, etc.) for projects.
- Research local land use ordinances, tax structures, tariffs.
- Interface with engineering and construction teams.
- Interpret technical engineering and environmental reports and studies.
- Develop engineering estimates, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Complete administrative duties as required.
- Attend evening meetings and public hearings.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
What You Bring to the Role:
- 0-5 years of experience in renewable energy development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural science, environmental policy/science, economics, or business. Masters level welcomed.
- Proven ability in Google Earth and Microsoft Office.
- Strong research skills.
