Summary

Responsible for overall execution of travel center and food program plans to achieve established standards, sales goals, as well as guest/team member satisfaction. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Champion guest experience by floor presence/interaction.

Exhibit the Wally's culture and hold each Team member accountable to those same standards.

Provide team members proper coaching/evaluations and give them a path to grow with the company.

Efficient interviewing process to ensure we onboard high caliber team members.

Daily balancing of store cash and reconciliation reports.

Daily store walks with detailed plans that can be delegated to team members and leaders.

Continuous follow up with food service manager to ensure we are properly managing food cost, waste, paper/condiment, etc.

Profit and loss review monthly with next chain of command.
Drive sales by ensuring our retail execution and in stock position are always grand opening ready.

Hold DSD vendors accountable to proper in stock levels and personally approve all orders.

Meet with inventory manager to ensure our physical quantities match theoretical quantities. Continually adapt and adjust par levels.
 Maintaining effective vendor relationships.

Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.

Formulates pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for profitability of store operations.

Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays and advertising copy.

Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.

Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand.

Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.

Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.

Locks and secures store.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises various team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of  Inventory software;  Spreadsheet software and  Word Processing software.
