National Grid Renewables is seeking a detail oriented, thorough and organized professional to join our team. The Contract Manager will be involved in the drafting of certain contracts and overseeing the organization and management of executed agreements.  The nature of contracts to be overseen ranges from non-disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, acquisition and divestiture agreements, construction agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, and financing documents.

 

What You Will Actually Be Doing: 

  • With oversight of attorneys in our Legal Department, draft (or provide initial review and comment on) a variety of basic contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, master services agreements, outside counsel engagement letters and other commercial agreements.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the company and the contracting counterparty.
  • Provide red-lined revisions to the company’s legal department for review.
  • Negotiate contractual terms on behalf of the company.
  • Maintain and update contractual records, changes, status reports and other information (including developing a contract management system as part of the record retention program).
  • Provide guidance on contracts to staff, managers and executives.
  • Monitor contract compliance with established procedures.
  • Ensure all contracts are signed and delivered to the relevant parties.
  • Work with other corporate functions, such as finance, operations, and legal, on contract insurance requirements.

 

What You Bring to the Role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a contract manager or in a related position.
  • Proficient computer skills to enable electronic management of contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, establish and administer contracts.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with sound business judgement.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Confident in both a leadership and team-player role.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
