We are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Franklin, TN office. We operate in a fast-moving environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks keeps things interesting! The CAD department is a critical area of our business. When the department excels, it makes a significant impact on the company and positively affects our reputation with our customers.
Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a desire for learning and take the initiative to finish all assigned tasks within deadlines. What you will be doing:
- Read and interpret construction plans and CAD drawings necessary for proper order take-offs
- Continually revise equipment orders and budgets to keep in sync with current plans and scope of remodel
- Ensure all material meets customer specifications and is being procured at the most competitive prices
- Review all remodel store orders to confirm accuracy
- Monitor and track against all equipment related issues
- Train new Project Managers on equipment check-in and procurement procedures
- Coordinate and negotiate efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials to job site to ensure all material is received on time
- Assist other departments as needed
- Travel up to 10% of the time
- Occasional weekend work
What we’re looking for:
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred with a focus on Architecture or Construction Management; Degree may be waived with significant related and demonstratable work experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of on-site construction survey of existing commercial buildings preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans necessary for equipment take-offs.
- Experience in Bluebeam and AutoCAD are a plus
- Retail/or Convenience Store experience strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Acute attention to detail
