Description

We are looking for a highly experience PCBA Engineer to support our team either in Mountain View, CA or Redmond, WA.

Job Description: 

Provide expertise recommendation and analysis in the early phase of product creation in reliability validation area as an individual contributor. 

Be responsible for reliability, environmental, electrical and mechanical test planning to ensure all test cases completed as planned. 

Identify and follow up errors reported by test engineers. 

Justify the critical errors and point out possible impact and risk. 

Highlight the possible test results deviation according to relevant specification and standard. 

Hold Design Validation internal build reviews and participate in related R&D review meeting of own projects. 

Provide sufficient and efficient Reliability and Quality support to program, like Reliability and Quality training plan and necessary training to factory ReQ engineer. Highlight and address Reliability and Quality failure in PD and PE phase. 

Contribute to scientific peer review reliability test technologies & test methods development actively.

Experience directing the test activity for system products (e.g. a laptop computer) or on the reliability of PCBA’s.

Qualifications:

  • BS, MS or PhD in EE, ME or allied field required and/or 10+ years of relevant experience delivering design for reliability requirements for consumer electronics products.
  • Hands-on experience in design, development and launch of high-volume consumer electronic products is a must.
  • Strong working knowledge in physics of failure and precipitating failure mechanisms through empirical stress.
  • Experience performing Failure Analysis on electronic products.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and trouble shooting skills with electronics, PCBA’s and systems strongly desired.
