Materials Testing Technician/Special Inspector

Typical Job Duties Include:

     Testing and inspection of construction materials such as; soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt, for quality control/quality assurance in a laboratory setting as well as on construction job sites

       Discussion of test results with client's on-site representative

      Preparation of daily reports on WT project specific activities

Job Requirements:

     Ability to work outside in various weather conditions

     Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50 lbs. and 80 lbs. periodically

     Strong communication and detailed writing skills

     Basic math and writing skills

     Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player

    Capable of working independently

     Availability to work irregular hours and on weekends

      Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

     Ability to pass drug screening

Required and Preferred Education and Experience

     High school diploma or equivalent

    Previous construction materials testing experience required and current ATTI, ICC, and/or ACI certifications or equivalents

Certifications that could be applicable for this position:

     ACI - American Concrete Institute

    ICC - International Code Council

    CWI- Certified Welding Inspector

    NICET- National Institution for Certification in Engineering Technologies

   ATTI - Arizona Technical Testing Institute
