About the Position: 

National Grid Renewables is seeking an intern to join its Operations team for the summer of 2021. They will perform tasks essential to the day-to-day operations, will lead specific projects that have a real impact, and present on their experience to leadership staff at the end of the summer. Through gaining hands-on operations and field experience, the intern will walk away with an understanding of basic financial data management, a working knowledge of MS Excel, familiarity with office behavior/skills, and a holistic understanding of the renewable energy industry.  

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Update the Ops SharePoint site 
  • Enter contracts and contractual information into the asset management obligation tracking system 
  • Put all policies and procedures in SharePoint and update them to include links for all the policies and procedures and any other reference documents 
  • Organizing turnover documents 
  • Organizing engineering drawing system 
  • Assist with asset management financial and operational reporting 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Organization. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated work ethic. 
  • Service contract drafting, site selection, and screening. 
  • Interest in renewable energy, electricity markets, operations and/or engineering  
  • College student or recent graduate with a degree in operations management, business, computer information systems, engineering, environmental science, or economics. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote wind and solar energy sites.
