Position Description

The Survey Coordinator at National Grid Renewables Development will assist the Development Team to coordinate and manage all survey activities related to project development.  The Survey Coordinator will work with Project Managers, permitting team, real estate team, construction team, legal counsel, utilities, investors, due diligence teams, surveyors and title professionals to address the survey and permitting needs for identified projects.


Duties

  • Work with Project Managers, Sr Director of Real Estate, Sr Director of Engineering/Construction to determine scope of work needed per project along with anticipated timelines for work needed.
  • Request estimate of costs associated with the proposed survey scope for assigned projects.
  • Initiate and coordinate contracts needed for work to be performed for assigned projects.
  • Manage survey workload and make sure that survey work is on track to meet proposed timelines for assigned projects.
  • Attend and contribute to strategy sessions and management meetings.
  • Review completed survey work to identify issues that could cause construction delays
  • Assist with the clearance of challenging title issues and complex legal description issues (by working with legal counsel, title professionals, real estate team members, project developers, and landowners).
  • Assist with the review of engineering and survey work for projects and oversee the resolution of any resulting land discrepancies (boundary overlaps, easement issues, etc.).
  • Travel to project sites, county courthouses, and landowner residences as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Strong survey knowledge
  • Renewable experience preferred
