Thompson is seeking a FCT Therapist in Cumberland County, NC to join our growing team. 

Thompson is a leading provider of clinical and prevention services for children and families across North Carolina. The Charlotte, N.C. based, nationally accredited nonprofit agency changes the lives of at-risk children and families through early childhood services, family stability programs and mental health treatment. Thompson is growing, now with locations and services that stretch from Wilmington to Asheville.

Thompson is seeking a full-time Therapist to join a growing, thriving, dynamic, and trauma-informed organization in the Cumberland County area. The therapist will be providing individual and family therapy using the Family Centered Treatment (FCT) model. The therapist will provide treatment virtually (as needed), in the home and in the community. The FCT model is evidence-based and requires certification within 9-months of hire. Thompson and the Family Centered Treatment Foundation will partner to ensure hands-on, thorough training is provided. Therapists who are FCT certified and have a proven track record of successful outcomes are encouraged to apply, but prior certification is not required.   

Family Centered Treatment is an evidenced-based model with highly effective treatment methods and proven outcomes. This model is trauma-informed, experiential and leads with a family empowerment approach. The needs in our community have never been greater and Thompson seeks to meet the challenge every day.  

Thompson is always looking to add Spanish speaking therapists to our diverse teams. We would love to hire bi-lingual therapists who are passionate about serving the community of Spanish-speaking families and closing the gap of the availability of mental health services for these families. 

We are seeking Therapists who are fully and provisionally licensed in the State of North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Therapists who are already credentialed with insurance carriers (Medicaid and private) are strongly preferred. Flexibility, dedication, and professionalism are a must.

A Thompson Therapist will also have the opportunity to access on-site trainings for CEU’s, networking opportunities with thought-leaders in the Mental Health services community and grow their personal and professional skillsets at their own pace.

Thompson will financially support full-time Therapists towards rostering in an evidence-based practice (TFCBT, PCIT, EMDR, FCT etc.) based on job performance and position requirements. 

Requirements:
•    Full or provisional license in the State of North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT).
•    Must pass a drug screen test and an extensive background check is required. 
•    Must possess a valid NCDL and reliable transportation. 
•    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
•    FCT certified is a plus. 

Physical Requirements:
•    Will frequently perform a wide variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, and lifting of children, which requires strength, coordination, endurance and agility.
