Causeway Solutions, the premier right-of-center decision science firm driving political and public policy campaigns, is seeking an entry level data analyst to join its Metairie-based team. While this is an entry-level (paid) position, the fast-paced nature of the industry ensures ample opportunity for development in many different areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will be well organized and have a strong eye for detail. The ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks independently, sometimes with limited guidance, while maintaining a high quality of work is a must. Qualified candidates will have strong oral and verbal communication skills. A writing sample may be requested.

Responsibilities

·         Pull counts and contact files based on specific criteria to fulfill client requests

·         Prepare client deliverables in the form of memos, presentations and data visualizations

·         Perform quantitative and qualitative research on political and public policy topics to inform clients on trends or issues of importance.

·         Coordinate logistics for research projects, including focus groups and surveys

·         Assist on projects to support senior analysts

Qualifications

·         Focus/interest in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Systems, Data Science or Political Science or 1 or more years of experience in the field.

·         Experience with SQL

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

·         Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills

·         Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines as well as a willingness to be a team player and help where needed
