Software Engineer 1

SSE is a leading technology company serving St. Louis, MO and Jacksonville, FL for over 30 years. We are a leading provider of aviation courseware development, virtual training development, and contract labor for the military and commercial aircraft industries.

We are seeking skilled Software Engineers to join our team in St. Louis, MO. These Software Engineers will work on applications that simulate aircraft training systems.

These Software Engineer’s main job responsibilities will be to:

·       Assists with the documentation and maintenance of requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

·       Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.

·       Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.

·       Troubleshoots basic software issues.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:   (top skills needed to perform this role/job)

·       2 or more years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, MatLab, or Linux preferred.

·       1 or more years working in Agile software development framework preferred.

·       1 or more years of experience with real-time embedded software development preferred.

·       Familiar working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology.

·       U.S. Security Clearance is desired, however not required to start.

Education:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required.

This position requires the ability to obtain a “This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.”  US Citizen required
