Location: Midland, MI

​​​​​Start Date: May 2021

Job Summary: Plans, Schedules, Organizes and Executes activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.  Project operations functions that require interfacing with the project team for the successful execution of the project.


Job Responsibilities:

Provides Project Leadership under the direction of Project Manager or Director of Projects.

Responsible for designated project results.

Establish and maintain good client working relations, be sensitive to their requirements and promote a team effort between CDI and client.

Organize, initiate, and host meeting with the client.

Report on project status, coordinates with Project Controls for schedule and budget in the assigned work to Project Manager or Director of Projects.

Responsible for Scope Definition, Change Management, Project Execution Plan, Organization Chart and Scheduling for project assignments.

Coordinate with engineering disciplines development and work on P&ID's, Plot Plans, Specifications, Lists, Datasheets, Procurement, Design Drawings, Vendor Data and Quality Checks.

Works toward providing customer satisfaction with project results.

Assist CDI Business Development efforts to grow business opportunities for the office.

 

Job Qualifications & Skills:

Some knowledge of project engineering, material management, construction, cost control, scheduling, and estimating.

Beginning knowledge of contractual issues and commercial strategies.

Ability to assist in proposal development and presentations.

Leadership capability and above average communication skills.

Demonstration of the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a project team environment.

Planning and organizational skills.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field from a four year college or university is desired. 
Five years experience in the engineering industry is desired. 
A Professional Engineer license is preferred, not required. 
10+ years experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

 

Top 3 Requirements:

Prior Engineering Experience for either Chemical, Midstream, or Refining Industries.

Plan and execute the work in accordance with agreed schedule, budget, quality checks and CDI Work Processes.

Promotes a Positive Team Effort with CDI and Client Project Teams.
