Summary: Looking for a Data Analytics Specialist for a long term contract assignment in NYC.  

This person will be responsible for providing feasibility and gap analysis of business requirements, performing data analysis and analytics, conducting system implementation relevant testing of full cycle, and other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements document submitted by end user, conduct feasibility analysis to identify potential gaps.
• Lead data related tasks, including data mapping, data quality check, data reconciliation, data lineage exercises to fulfil the data requirements.
• Conduct data analysis including but not limited to data profiling, trend analysis, etc. and deliver data-driven recommendations to business users.
• Perform system/ program/ application analysis to determine operation efficiency and functional effectiveness by liaising between end users and developers.
• Develop test plan and cases/scripts, conduct testing, validate procedures, and create testing report as assigned.
• Develop comprehensive project plan and timeline for projects assigned based on Branch applicable policies and procedures
• Monitor and track project progression closely by actively communicating with project stakeholders and deliver project status report periodically
• Execute ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Act as vendor manager for vendors assigned, performing vendor management activities as per Branch policy and procedures

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required, majors in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
• 5- 7 years of work experience in the wholesale banking, ideally have a background in Risk, Credit, or Operations
• Must have experience in project management or project delivery, IT project management experience is a plus
• Highly organized and able to operate in team environments, especially in cross-functional teams
• Data analysis experience is required

Skills and Knowledge:

• Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation
• Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Jira, etc.
• Coding experience in SQL, Python, etc. is required
• Ability to read, write, Mandarin speaking is a plus
• Must be detail-oriented
