The EPC Pre-Construction Services and Engineering Manager is responsible for managing pre-construction services during pre-award and pre-mobilization phases of EPC projects.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage internal and external engineering resources in the early development of solar power plant designs
  • Coordinate engineering with in-house energy production modeling
  • Complete estimate project costs, including quantity take-offs and create database for cost tracking and support of ROM pricing activities
  • Support PM’s in building project schedules inclusive of manpower loading graphs and cash flow/Spend curves
  • Develop proposal documents and provide support to internal teams for customer RPF responses and EPC RFP activities
  • Facilitate and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and engineering during all phases of the bidding, analysis and estimating processes
  • Support construction phase project teams through pre-construction activities
  • Support construction teams in resolving design and or constructability challenges during construction
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

 

What You'll Need:

Principal Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent proficiency with CAD design tools
  • Advanced knowledge of PVSyst, Helioscope and other power industry modeling tools
  • Advanced knowledge of solar project development
  • Ability to concentrate on details as well as overall project design basis
  • Experience in In-depth conceptual estimating skills, including ability to understand, price define and explain estimate content and approach
  • Proven ability to organize and manage several projects at various stages of development
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs and estimating applications
  • Excellent knowledge of construction project management

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of experience in electrical and/or civil construction, construction engineering, and/or project management is required
  • Excellent knowledge of construction concepts and practices
