Virtualization Engineer
Port Neches, TX
The project is estimated to last between 6 to 12 months in duration, with possible extension.
Job Summary:
Seeking a virtualization infrastructure specialist to work with the Manufacturing IT team at the client site in Port Neches, Texas to design and configure a virtual environment that can support the migration of existing physical server infrastructure that consists of many servers.Prioritized Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Requires expertise in:
• Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, etc
• NAS/SAN technology
• High availability virtualization
• Experience with LiveFocus
• Physical to virtual migration
Specific Skills and Knowledge
• Proficient with virtualization technology, including virtual switching.
• Proficient with Microsoft server operating systems.
• Understanding of networking and communication protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications:- Bachelors, Computer Science, IT or Engineering Preferred not required.
- Min of 5 years relevant experience.
- Must be willing to locate in the Port Neches, TX area for project duration. No per diem, No relo.
