JOB SUMMARY
Duties may include:
Identifies business opportunities by:
· Utilizing established relationships with pharma/biotech
· Generating new leads and prospects through prospecting, conducting initial research and phone contact
· Prospecting qualified sales leads from other sources including inside sales, trade show, etc.
· Leading new business development efforts
· Managing corporate meetings and exhibitions
· Representing Elligo Health Research at local, national and international meetings pertinent to public relations and future business development
· Develops and secures business by matching existing and new clinical trial opportunities with Elligo sites
Maintains relationships with clients by:
· Providing support, information and guidance
· Recommending new opportunities
· Recommending profit and service improvements
· Establishing and maintaining industry and client contacts for continuing good relations and business opportunity development
· Developing and maintaining client profiles including updating contacts management system
Maximizes market penetration by:
· Ensuring ongoing understanding of Elligo Health Research services, services offered by competitors and market/industry trends
Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:
· Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
· Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
· Participating in the modification of company SOPs related to Business Development
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor degree or equivalent required
· 8+ years pharmaceutical/research site sales experience required
· 8+ years clinical research experience preferred
· Operations experience in clinical trials preferred
· Thorough knowledge of research and pharmaceutical industry, terminology and practices
· Proven ability in presenting and negotiating
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Regular travel is required of this role.
