The Director of Digital Marketing will play an integral role in the planning and execution of performance campaigns spanning across all digital channels with a heavy reliance on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Marketing. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to produce, monitor, and optimize email marketing, email automation, multiple digital campaigns, SEM and SEO performance. This role requires strong analytical abilities to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across digital channels and customer touch points including the use of SQL programming.

In this role you will Manage weekly forecasting and budget flow management, including measuring and reporting performance of all digital marketing campaigns, assessing against goals (ROI and KPIs). You will be responsible to identify trends and insights, optimize spend and performance based on the insights, and provide thought leadership, technical SFMC expertise, and perspective for the adoption of marketing technologies for Email Marketing, Paid Social, Paid Search (PPC) and SEO.

This position reports to the CMO and currently has 1 direct report.

The Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for:

  • All Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Marketing for Vantage/Partners and Email Analytics, campaign development and analyzing results
  • All Search Engine Marketing (SEM); includes all Google/Bing/Yahoo Pay-Per-Click (PPC), Retargeting and Analytics
  • All Social Media Advertising; includes all Social Ads (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.), Retargeting and Analytics
  • All Social Media Sites owned by Vantage (Facebook, Instagram, Blog, YouTube, etc.), campaign development, execution and analyzing the results
  • All 3rd Party Digital Partnerships (Cruise Critic, Dunhill, Solo Traveler, Travel Zoo, etc.), campaign development, execution and analyzing results
  • All Landing Page development direction, tracking set-up and measurement for all campaigns listed above
  • All budgeting of spend, tracking set-up and measurement for all responsibilities listed above

Requirements:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise (SFMC), required
  • SQL expertise – intermediate level or higher, required
  • Tableau or PowerBI tools required
  • Excel – intermediate level or higher, required
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters preferred.
  • 5 years of direct or database marketing required
  • 3+ years of email campaign management, automation and/or circulation
  • Thorough knowledge of email best practices
  • Knowledge of and comfort with a variety of online tools, inclusive of content management systems, CRM, and web analytics.  
  • Travel industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Creative thinking, exceptional analytical skills coupled with solid business foundation, particularly in Interactive Marketing.
  • An innovative, positive, and self-directed attitude – interested in “figuring out” solutions.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
