Scope of Job:

Seeking an experienced Agile Product Coach to support software delivery teams. The Product Coach will partner with end-users, cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, and IT to deliver technology-driven competitive advantages. This individual will be responsible for coaching Product Owners in developing and maintaining a product roadmap, defining requirements and use cases, and managing the solution development on behalf of the business to ensure successful completion and adoption. 

Responsibilities:

50%  Product Management Coaching

  • Provide guidance and direction for existing Product Owners who are new to the role. Ensure the customer gets a working product that makes their work-lives easier and better. Work with stakeholders and Product Owners help define the vision and strategic value of product. Work with Product Owners to create and maintain a clear, visual, and accessible product roadmap incorporating all high-level initiatives. Advocate for user centricity by working with internal stakeholders to conduct research, testing, and experimentation. Assist in creating user stories that are prioritized, have clear acceptance criteria, and have been estimated for Business Value (Impact) and Complexity (Effort). Help set clear and appropriate Sprint Goals that roll up to strategic BU goals. Help ensure goals and metrics have been set and are maintained for desirability, feasibility, and viability. Co-create clear production ready criteria and repeatable processes for releases. Help create and maintain a Release Plan with upcoming features and release dates that considers the schedule of target users and supporting technology teams. Help create a cohesive rollout and adoption strategy, working closely with L&D, communications, and OCM, that regularly incorporates updates based on new knowledge. Maintain regular touchpoints with business stakeholders. Actively escalate impediments as they arise up through Digital Business Leadership and Technical IT leadership

40%  Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Cultivate a healthy team by encouraging safety and trust to contribute to an environment where good decisions can happen quickly in a decentralized way. Facilitate team and stakeholder engagement, encouraging diversity of perspectives and establishing a shared context where the best decisions can happen quickly. Follow Agile principles and guidelines including participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other key ceremonies.

Qualifications: (Degree/Certifications/License/Experience/Specialized Knowledge/Skills)

Education/Experience –

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree with emphasis on IT or Business disciplines or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of technical and/or business relationship experience.
  • Some experience working with major finance and asset systems (large ERP systems, like SAP or Oracle) a plus

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities –

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills with proven ability to interact effectively with technology partners, functional teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate a business environment that is complex, ambiguous, and diverse.
  • Ability to exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and criteria for obtaining results
  • Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principals
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Previous experience in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequence

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand. 100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.


Working Conditions:

80% of time is spent in the office environment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office comprised of national and international travel for meetings and collaboration with global counterparts, as well as travel to conferences and trade shows to understand new and emerging technologies and changes to the renewable energy industry.
