Our client is a rapidly expanding, innovative precision medicine company offering both direct-to-consumer and institutional commercial medical diagnostics. Areas of focus include Covid-19 testing, autoimmune disease testing and organ transplant. Our client is currently expanding its U.S. Commercial Sales and Marketing team. This position is U.S. based. Ideal candidate is located in Metro Detroit, MI, but will consider remote locations as well. Ideal candidate also has healthcare, life sciences and/or medical industry experience.

 

Candidate will be responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy for the home health test kit brand of products, which includes the Covid-19 market. You will be responsible for generating sales to the B2B and direct-to-consumer markets.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Cultivate a pipeline of opportunities and manage the progression of B2B partnerships and contracts.
  • Collaborate with leaders in Product development and Marketing to provide concise and timely market feedback, define opportunities, and launch profitable new products
  • Lead and manage sales activities, including all steps in the partnerships & sales lifecycle, from prospecting to launch to transition to account management.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director, upper management and CEO to define strategies, create new opportunities and close deals.

 

The Candidate

  • Must have clear, proven ability to close large complex deals, exceed sales goals and work well with internal stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota in a complex sale environment.
  • Demonstrated healthcare expertise and network (and/or life sciences industry) and the DTC market.
  • Demonstrable competency in enterprise sales processes, contracting, partnerships and closing deals.
  • Ability to set territory sales strategy and execute on the plan.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to greatly contribute to the broader team.
  • Analytical/data-driven coupled with creative problem solving.
  • Deep understanding of the sales and implementation cycle, matching deals to company capabilities and ensuring profitable partnerships.
  • Ability to represent the company with external constituents.
  • Must thrive in working in a small but growing company that requires the ability and enjoyment of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Must be willing to travel.

 

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales experience, Management/Director level preferred for at least 4+ years
  • B2B and B2C sales experience
  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences or medical industry
  • Strong sales and business acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills
