Position Description

The SHESG (Safety Health, Environment, Social and Governance) Analyst will gather, analyze and present data from all aspects of safety health, environment, social and governance for National Grid Renewables. This position will work closing with field and office personnel to manage SHESG systems and programs and review data entry into the systems for accuracy and quality. The SHESG Analyst will report to the Vice President of SHESG.

Duties

·        Collect and analyze technical data and report on trends ins Safety Health & Environment (SHE) and the Responsible Business Charter (RBC), specifically: hazards, SHE events, and our carbon footprint.

·        Support organizational compliance with applicable best management practices for ESG

·        Report monthly, quarterly and annually on SHESG KPIs to management

·        Collaborate with cross functional groups (including, but not limited to finance, origination, development and operations) to determine what data and how the data will be collected

·        Assist the SHESG team with the development and implementation of SHESG programs

·        Maintain and administrate SHE software (Gensuite/Benchmark Digital Services)

·        Support employee enrollment into the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage qualification cards. 

·        Maintain compliance training records and provide training metrics/reports.

Experience

·        Degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science or directly applicable experience within SHESG

·        Superior writing and presentation skills for development of technical documentation, reporting and presentations.

·        Possess strong project management experience and skills.

·        Ability to solve problems dealing with multiple variables and limited standardization.

·        Work well under pressure from job demands, multi-tasking ability essential.

·        Ability to travel up to 10%, with some on short notice.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

·        Experience in renewable energy, sustainability

·        Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships and articulate issues and subject matter to process owners while being a team player.

·        Strong ability to review and analyze financial and technical data.

·        Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
