This growing, dynamic high-tech company headquartered in sunny Central Florida, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Business Operations team and grow with us. Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Status: Full-Time/ Non-Exempt
Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
Location: Naples, FL
Position Summary:
Primary responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to carry out skilled technical duties involving replacement, repair, maintaining the general condition of the facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks
- Performs minor painting, carpentry and minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs
- Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remount’s modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, wall mounted TV’s etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space
- Receives, assesses, and prioritizes all work orders assigned to be completed in a timely manner
- Assure that safety (including fire safety) and security rules and regulations are followed within the facilities
- Maintains grounds and facilities in clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Arranges furniture and equipment for providing adequate preparations for special events
- Document findings in terms of needed repairs and performed duties
- Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and equipment for ensuring availability in safe operating condition
- Notes and documents any deficiencies in regular maintenance or contractor performance
- Arranges vehicle maintenance schedule and fueling of vehicles
- Liaise with contractors such as cleaning, landscaping, air conditioning as needed
- Work with Facilities Supervisor on plans and programs for improvement within the department
- Prepare reports as needed using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fill in for absence of Warehouse/Provisioning Technician (see duties and responsibilities)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent organizational and communicational skills
- Forklift certified or able to complete certification
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Must have clean driving record
- Flexibility to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs
- Other duties as assigned
