OFFICIAL TITLE: CAL-WORKS STAGE 1 SPECIALIST
Bilingual English/Armenian (HIGHLY DESIRABLE), OR Bilingual English/Spanish; English/Korean

Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week

Salary: $20 - $21/ hour for candidates with a BA .
$18-19/hr for candidates without a BA but have experience.

Primary duties: Implement all functions of CDE Programs (Stage 2, Stage 3, Alternative Payment, and Berendo).  Case management of parents; work with participating childcare providers; some fiscal responsibilities.

Other duties:

• Recruit participants and child care providers for the program.

• Coordinate special projects as assigned by supervisors.

• Enroll, certify and re-certify participants.

• Refer families and parents Pathways' Resource and Referral Department for list of child care providers

• Assist with parent and child care provider file audits.

• Assist participants in resolving issues with employers, schools, children and child care providers.

• Maintain working knowledge of CC3 and LRS.

• Complete and verify all provider and participant contracts, forms, files, records and reports.

• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations, and Stage 1 Contractual Requirements, Payment Rules, Administrative Directives and Timelines.

• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field, preferred but not required.
• Two years professional child development experience and/or subsidy child care experience, preferred.
• BILINGUAL ENGLISH/ARMENIAN, ENGLISH/SPANISH OR ENGLISH/KOREAN
• High level of oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
• Sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
• Familiarity with child care providers preferred.
• Must submit proof of having been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsorships are available for these positions.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:

Vacation & Sick Time

· 10 days of Vacation per year for the first 2 years of service. Accrual at start.

· 10 Sick Days per year. Accrual at start.

Holidays

· 11 Holidays – no waiting period.

· 18 Paid Hours early release – no waiting period.

· Kaiser HMO Medical Plan (Pathways will pay 90% of employee)

· Non-Kaiser Options – you can also choose a Blue Shield HMO or UnitedHealthCare HMO or PPO

· PPO Dental Plan – (Pathways will pay 90% of employee)
