    Thompson Child & Family Focus is the leading provider of clinical and prevention services for children and families across the Carolinas. The Charlotte, NC-based, nationally accredited nonprofit agency empowers children and families through therapy, education, and prevention-based care.     A valid NC driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are required. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required. No calls please.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    The Family Support Partner must be the biological or adoptive parent - or kin or other "forever" person in the parent role - who has been the primary caregiver of a child with emotional or behavioral challenges.  Must have lived experience navigating the Mental/Behavioral Health, Child Welfare, or Juvenile Justice system with their child.

    Experience as a primary caregiver of a youth with special needs, and preferably a youth with mental health needs; AND Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university and one (1) year of experience working with the target population;
    OR Associate’s degree in a human service field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth;
    OR High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a primary caregiver with children/adolescents/transition age youth

    Salary: $27,000 - $34,000
