INTERNAL IT ADMINISTRATOR 

Purpose 

The Internal IT Administrator serves a vital role within the Operations team to provide support for Corsica employees with internal hardware and software systems. This role helps resolve day-to-day issues that employees encounter so that they can focus on their primary roles. The Internal IT Administrator can vastly improve the working conditions of their coworkers by helping to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency with our systems. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide onsite and remote support for internal end users. 

  • Follow established internal incident management, request management, and problem management processes. 

  • Create and update internal documentation as needed to provide end users with self-help instructions and guidance. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and requests to internal users as quickly as possible.  

  • Follow standard operating procedures as documented in the Knowledge Management System. 

  • Work with all internal teams and escalate as needed to other Internal IT resources as well as team escalation for tasks performed outside Internal IT. 

  • Perform PC staging and deployment for new employees. 

  • Provide remote hardware installation/configuration as needed. 

  • Administer systems and tools to optimize efficiency for end users. 

  • Provide friendly, reliable, and prompt service to internal staff when providing support. 

  • Stay up to date with technology through ongoing education. 

  • Maintain and update system documentation and event records.

Qualified candidates must meet the following job requirements:

  • Meet client and corporate expectations for attendance, quality, and performance.   

  • Intermediate experience with each of the following:  

  • System hardware, software, and operating systems 

  • Active Directory and Group Policy administration 

  • Basic experience with each of the following:  

  • Cloud solutions such as Office 365 and Google Apps 

  • Networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP 

  • Experience with each of the following is a plus but not required:  

  • Switches, firewalls, and advanced infrastructure 

  • Cloud-based data centers such as Azure and AWS 

  • Server applications such as SQL Server and RDS 

  • Voice technologies and phone systems 

Education, Experience, and Certifications 

Required 

  • Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.   

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional IT Service Management (ITSM) or Internal IT experience is required.    

  • Must have at least 1 certification from vendors such as Apple, CompTIA, or Microsoft.  

Preferred 

Associate degree or better is preferred. 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.  

Work Environment 

In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space.  

Travel 

Less than 5% travel is expected with this position. 

Physical Demands 

  • Candidate should be able to lift 25 pounds or more.  

  • The position will require frequent sitting, standing, lifting, and bending. 

Position Type/Expected Hours 

This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week. A one-hour lunch break is provided. Shifts are typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
