ABOUT THE ROLE

Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC) is a rapidly growing industrial real estate developer and manager headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. To support the expanding business, LPC is seeking a full-time Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team reporting to the Senior Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated proficiency in business partnering, with a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in the preparation and delivery of financial analytics, financial reports and business planning. This will be complemented by your strong technical accounting knowledge, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues, to think laterally and work to deadlines.

Experience in a large complex environment, process setup and improvement and prior exposure Yardi Voyager would be advantageous. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development of budgets, financial models and project reporting deliverables
  • Build and maintain detailed, dynamic financial models to inform monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting
  • Lead financial review meetings and partner effectively with project and finance teams to ensure effective cost management and maintenance of reliable project forecasts
  • Produce and analyze financial data for projects including variance analysis to budget and prior forecast
  • Review financial forecasts compared to operating budgets and prepare business modeling to identify trends affecting business performance
  • Maintain the overall consolidated project forecast model and analyze variances in returns
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis package, which includes explanation of income statement and metrics
  • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives
  • Prepare inputs to monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting package
  • Assist in preparation of specific Investor Reporting requirements and ad-hoc project analyses using a broad range of tools including Yardi and Excel
  • Maintain effective communication within team and coordination with the various project teams
  • Recommend process improvements and assist in implementation of technology solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the FP&A processes
  • Prepare presentation quality deliverables for Finance and Business leadership
  • Assist in various ad hoc financial analysis, financial systems and process improvements, and special projects
  • Conduct special project work for finance or other departments, as needed, through direction of Finance leadership

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree: Accounting or Finance
  • Seven (7+) plus years of related professional work experience, or any similar combination of education and experience
  • Commercial Real Estate industry, particularly development experience required
  • Preferred qualifications
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and/or experience in the areas of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, data mining and interpretation
  • Experience building models for business forecasting, variance analysis and problem solving in a property and/or construction context
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and achieve effective results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Highly developed analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager and Yardi Advanced Budgeting and Forecasting is a plus
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
