JOB SUMMARY 

The Business Analyst role will support the company’s Operations Delivery and Reporting efforts. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining key performance indicators for the company’s operations, assessing operational initiatives involving customer and/or network partnerships, and leading a variety of ad hoc cross functional analyses in order to assess the financial impact related to a range of operational initiatives. The candidate will play a critical role assisting the company in providing business analytics for it’s Trial Operations by partnering with the COO, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Practice Success, CFO, Controller, and other members of the finance and operations team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Support executive-level KPI development and reporting; continually refine process and reporting to deliver actionable information across all levels of the organization. 

• Develop and maintain timely and accurate practice and/or project standardized reporting. 

• Participate in Operations meetings pertaining to practice and/or project reviews, providing financial and analytical support using historical trends, operational input and analytics to improve accuracy of forecasting. 

• Collaborate with Finance team during monthly close process to ensure project and/or practice cost is accurately reported. 

• Perform financial and data analysis to guide operational decision making. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS  

Required: 

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting 

• Desired: MBA, MS Economics, MS Finance, or MS Analytics 

• 2 to 5 years of professional experience 

• Desired: proficiency in NetSuite 

• Experience in Corporate Finance, Operations Finance or Management Consulting. 

• Desired: understanding of the clinical research sector 

• Solid proficiency in advanced Excel modeling 

• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities 

• Strong organization skills and attention to details 

• Ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and logical manner 

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization 

• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills 

• Ability to build and maintain complex financial and statistical models and spreadsheets 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. 

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

Minimal (less than 10%) travel is required for this position.
