JOB SUMMARY:  
 

The Data Analyst plays an integral role as part of the Data Sciences team, supporting EMR queries and reporting projects.    

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist Elligo Data Science team with query electronic health record systems. 

• Reviewing protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, executing queries across disparate EHRs to obtain results  

• Merge and organize the data in Microsoft Excel and other tools to produce data products 

• Managing the EHR network access and trouble-shooting process  
• Coordinating with sites to retrieve data

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

Required: 

• BS/BA in Healthcare Informatics or a related field 

• Electronic health record system proficiency in querying/analytics 

• Knowledge with ICD 9/10, diagnosis, and other important codes used within healthcare industry 
• Knowledge of healthcare terms (e.g., general understanding of labs, procedures, medications)  
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Consistent management of Cycle Time
• Excel Power User
• Consistent query follow up to meet tight deadlines

Essential Skills: 

• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications 

• Highly proficient with Microsoft - advance knowledge required 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  

• Ability to meet assigned deadlines 

• Detail oriented  

• Organized and accurate in work 

• Aptitude to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community 

• Experience with working within a busy and fast-paced start-up environment 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. 

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

Little travel is required for this position (less than 10%).
