Temporary Contract Job
JIRACOR is looking for hands-on individual contributors responsible to safely disassemble, pack, and transport parts associated with the removal of a simulator device located in NAS JAX. Job will include, material identification, separation, labeling and packaging activities. This individual is responsible, under the direction of the Logistics Manager, for package and shipment, all the trainer parts. Care should be taken so the device can be reassembled for use at a new destination. Disassemble and remove all parts associated with the trainer., this includes, but is not limited to, all cabinets, ladder-ways, cables, electrical wires, spare parts, tools, documentation, and tables that originated with the trainer .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Qualified candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and 0-3 years of material handling experience.
- Prior warehouse experience is required.
- Loads and unloads materials and goods from ingoing and outgoing trucks.
- Moves, stores and spaces materials as directed, using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
- Uses computer and/or RF equipment continuously for material handling assignment information, including updating the system to indicate current inventory, to generate and print bar code labels to attach to products and/or containers and to confirm transaction completion.
- Attends training or meetings as scheduled by management, to share information and to help improve the overall work process.
- Maintains a clean work environment by maintaining good 5S (cleanliness, organization) conditions in assigned work areas while performing daily job assignments.
- Experienced in working in a fast-environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other responsibilities may include training a helper or assisting in other areas
- Report on area production output and inventory
- Able to lift 10-50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills word, excel, outlook and warehouse software
- Able to operate forklift and manual material handling equipment
- Proficient with power tools and basic hand tools
- Basic math skills
- High voltage training and specialized P.P.E.
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as in a self-directed mode.
- Electrical training preferred
