FLSA:                         Non-Exempt 

Grade:                        51 

Department:               Human Resources 

Schedule:                   Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week 

Reporting Relationship:  Works under daily direction of Director of Sub360 and VP of Human Resources & Administration 

Responsibilities: 

Under general supervision, following CA HR rules, the Talent/Relations Specialist will lead substitute recruitment efforts as well as collaborate with the Sub360 Director to initiate and maintain relationships with institutions of higher learning and other educational and community-based organizations to promote Child360 Substitute Services. This role is responsible for recruiting staff and tracking recruitment data to project staffing needs and have a clear understanding of clients' needs.

Daily Tasks 

·            Coordinates the full-cycle recruiting process for Sub-360, which includes the hiring of open positions - both temporary and full-time 

·            Collaborates with HR and Sub360 Director to develop job descriptions 

·            Assures job descriptions are written consistently and accurately and manages applications through Insperity and other on-line job boards 

·            Provides ongoing recruitment support by anticipating and coordinating with Sub360 staff managers regarding open positions, both full-time and temporary 

·            Posts positions on Child360 internal website and other applicable job boards

·            Monitors position inquiries; reviews and sources resumes accordingly 

·            Conducts phone screens and in-person/virtual interviews 

·            Develops and provides interview worksheet/scoring questionnaire and distributes accordingly 

·            Prepares interview schedules and confirms accordingly 

·            Manages candidate interviews with management and follows-up on final selection of candidates 

·            Prepares and maintains recruiting reports/applicant logs/database as necessary 

·            Handles administrative follow-up with final candidates 

·            Prepares offer comparisons and analysis  

·            Assists with offer/decline notifications as appropriate 

·            Prepares, coordinates, and conducts references/background checks and processes for on-boarding 

·            May coordinate job fairs and other Child/Sub360 marketing opportunities

Physical Duties 

·            May be expected to lift boxes up to 20 lbs.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: 

 ·         Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information and assure employee rights are protected

  • Working knowledge of CA-HR laws and practices
  • Advanced understanding of staff recruiting processes
  • General knowledge of Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Demonstrated understanding of federal and CA state employment laws
  • Effective internal and external relationship building skills; Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups

·            Knowledge of business vocabulary and composition of business documents.  

·            Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook 

·            Expertise with diverse recruitment tools including print, agency, internet and passive

       systems, as well as ability to identify and develop new methodologies 

·            Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

·            Advanced knowledge of database management and record keeping 

·            Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 

·            Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with staff, providers, and stake holders. 

·            Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

·            Knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing  

·            Ability to learn and apply routine office policies and procedures 

Required Experience:  3+ years of HR and Recruiting experience required 

Formal Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred 
Language proficiency required/preferred: English/Spanish preferred. Multilingual a plus
