ABOUT THE ROLE

Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC), a rapidly growing industrial real estate developer and investor in North America, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Market Leader for our Los Angeles market. 

To be successful in this role you will need a proven track record in the Los Angeles market within the commercial logistics real estate industry, creating and executing a strategy for the region by planning, leading, and coordinating with the team members. You will be responsible for managing the development activities for the region from land acquisition to stabilization.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Engage and manage broker relationships
  • Manage the project listing brokers
  • Source and select development opportunities
  • Design and evaluate potential layouts
  • Review and forecast market trends
  • Oversee and evaluate acquisition due diligence materials
  • Facilitate budget development and underwriting materials
  • Present deal to the LPC Investment Committee and Asset Management Committee (capital investors)
  • Interface with lenders on transaction related questions
  • Engage and evaluate general contractors
  • Oversee the project manager and project billing
  • Engage with tenant rep brokers to evaluate potential tenants for buildings
  • Negotiate LOIs, project agreements, and contract documents
  • Coordinate lease-up efforts
  • Review and negotiate lease documents in concert with outside and in-house legal
  • Review and approve all reports for submittal to the LPC Asset Management group
  • Prepare quarterly reports for presentation to the LPC Board of Directors
ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree a plus
  • 7-10 years market leadership experience within the commercial real estate logistics property industry
  • Experience with all phases of project management and commercial property development
  • Hands-on knowledge of industrial construction and related building codes
  • Excellent organization, analytical and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical, scheduling, and cost issues
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to oversee and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building successful teams
  • Creative mindset to solve problems, progressive thinker, intelligent and a self-starter
  • An ability to understand a unique business vision and to strategically execute on those objectives
  • Proficient in the use of computer-based programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and Outlook
  • An understanding of contract agreements and experience in contract negotiations
  • Skilled in qualifying general contractors, design professionals and third-party consultants, tenants, and brokers
