JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager works collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to develop study-specific processes, manage communication across all involved parties, create and maintain study timelines, and monitor study finances to assure on-time, on-budget study execution. The eSolutions Project Manager creates, drives, and implements innovative solutions across the central Elligo site and local sub-sites to support a seamless, decentralized workflow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies project guidelines and communication needs by:- Reviewing study requirements and response assessment criteria; collaborates with key stakeholders to develop study start-up activities and associated documents
- Creating definitive project plans (i.e. timelines, milestones and requirements for project staff)
- Establishing and assuring execution of project reporting schedules
- Deliver project updates to stakeholders on schedule
- Communicating timely, appropriate project information to project teams, sites and company/sponsor representative(s)
Performs project analysis and management by:- Identifying critical project success factors for tracking, analysis and reporting
- Determining needed resources for project completion and communicating needs to appropriate departmental managers
- Collaborating with department leaders for appropriate training of those involved with the project toward excellence in successful and timely completion of project
- Performing financial tasks including monthly billing, forecasting, project scope reviews and amendments, along with pass-through cost management
- Demonstration of a thorough understanding of the project contract and totals needed for monthly revenue reporting
- May manage more complicated decentralized trials with several vendors and requirements
Provides project team leadership by:- Leading by example with professional and collaborative conduct
- Developing and delivering team project training
- Establishing team performance expectations and guidelines
- Analyzing team performance for consistency/quality within established project guidelines
- Collaborating with the departmental managers for team coaching/mentoring
- Mentoring more junior Project Managers
- Responsible for study management components of inspection readiness for all aspects of the study conduct
Manages customer relationships by:- Effectively communicating project specific reports to external stakeholders in accordance with strategic objectives of the organization
- Hosting regular project review meetings with customer(s) to share key findings and current performance
- Acting as a liaison between customer(s) and Elligo’s Research Operations team
- Initiating and maintaining collaboration with the appropriate individual(s) and/or department(s) within the client’s organization
- Building positive customer relationships with the goal of acquiring net new awarded projects
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:- BS/BA in Life Science or related discipline
- 5+ years project management or equivalent experience
- Experience executing project plans, timelines and budgets
- Demonstrated ability in positive relationship building, with strong verbal and written skills required
- Demonstrated ability to build new process and strategically design study process
- Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (MS Office skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Experience with clinical trial master filing systems
- Strong organization/prioritization skills for the management of multiple concurrent projects
- Previous project management experience in CRO/clinical research setting a plus
Preferred:- Previous GCP training and certification a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Moderate (10-25%) travel is required for this position.
