Role / What you will be doing

Develop a clear brand vision strategy. Prepare brand analysis and market research; both qualitative and quantitative. Support preparation of business reviews with presentations and analysis as needed. A combination of creative and strategic, with a strong ability to translate strategy to execution.

Responsibilities (this is not an all-inclusive list, duties may evolve over time as business needs change)
Develop overall communications strategy and message map for all four key audiences: ORIEN Network members/key stakeholders; Biopharma Oncology/Technology audiences; Employees and general press/media in Life Sciences and relevant business press
• External communications and publication plan & Event/Congress communications plan and execution
• Create messaging and positioning support to Sales/Business Development team – commercial communications and sales positioning support and sales collateral
• Partner closely with our Executive Leadership Team, Business Development, Engineering & IT, BioInformatics, Clinical Integration & Informatics and Product Management defining our marketing strategy, positioning, value proposition messaging and content
• For ORIEN network – create critical messaging by different audiences and develop engagement and on-going communication plans & support the Network team in execution of these efforts, including the annual meeting
• Develop strategic direction for our brand and translate the direction into a formal brand positioning plan, along with marketing/awareness plans and objectives to guide the business’ marketing activities
• Evaluate the external landscape and engage with clients, partners and users to understand audience needs and inform compelling integrated marketing strategies
• Effectively implement problem solving skills and techniques to identify potential issues, assess their impact, and develop and implement mitigation and resolution plans and activities
• Develop detailed marketing budgets and manage expenses
• Manage external agencies, contractors and vendors to support execution
• Mentor and develop marketing personnel; provide continuous performance feedback, and conduct all required performance planning, assessment and review activities
• Employ excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with all levels of personnel and management to facilitate information flow and decision making

Education / Experience
• Bachelors Degree – life science, marketing, or liberal arts field preferred
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Life Science or Healthcare Sector, ideally with a focus on and/or exposure to Oncology and/or Real World Data
• Experience in technology a plus
• Demonstrated team leadership skills

• Extensive marketing competencies; market research, brand positioning, segmentation, and campaign development
• Advanced project management, written communications, verbal, and presentation skills are critical
• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and adapt to changing customer needs in highly competitive conditions
