ACP Composites is looking for an experienced Production Planner—experience in a Custom Manufacturing environment is a plus!

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced production planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers.

To be successful as a production planner/scheduler, you should demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.

This position needs to be onsite, in Livermore, CA everyday.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate purchase orders to create effective production schedules
  • Ability to estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for any production project
  • Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production
  • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability
  • Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
  • Effect changes to production schedule to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Compile status and performance reports to submit to management in a timely manner
  • Promptly inform all relevant departments of changes to current schedule(s)

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Communication:  Strong verbal and written communication is a MUST
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks throughout the day; the ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress towards established goal(s) is essential
  • Negotiation: This position is in charge of negotiating vendor contracts and must have the ability understand price points and negotiate effectively
  • Problem-solving:  Strong problem-solving skills in a ever-changing environment is key to the success of this position
  • Computer Savvy: Must be at an intermediate level or above with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP software
