Why did you earn a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Psychology?

How will you put it to meaningful use?

Our founders had similar questions when they completed their degrees and, finding nothing like our organization in the world, they started our Leadership program. Since starting, we’ve spent more than a decade helping leaders within Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups learn to perceive and manage the powerful and underlying psychodynamics occurring within organizations and in every interpersonal exchange. The theories underpinning our program are drawn from research in the fields of neuroscience, psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy, developmental psychology, and analytical psychology. The program is depth psychology training and experience for high-functioning leaders and teams. The program consists of a monthly class and 1:1 advising sessions.

 

The role: Advisor/Associate Teacher

Under the leadership and guidance of the COO and Co-Founders, your responsibilities will include supporting participants and ongoing members of the program by:

·        Providing psychological advising of professionals ranging from individual contributors, high potential staff, leaders and c-suite executives.  These professionals come from industries including tech, finance, manufacturing, non-profit and even law enforcement.

·        Regularly meeting with program members (virtually and eventually in-person) on a one-with-one basis

·        Guiding the application of psychodynamic and Jungian principles and concepts to real-world challenges and goals.

·        Providing strategic and tactical direction to help increase self-awareness and higher functioning capacities in leaders and teams.

·        Shadow current teachers to develop mastery of the program in preparation for becoming a full teacher.

The essential skills:

·        Capacity for listening and working with people on unconscious processes.

·        Interest and capacity for learning and sharing ideas.

·        Knack for understanding culture, group dynamics, psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness.

·        Strong interest and some experience in working with groups, unconscious dynamics, and the teaching of psychological ideas.

·        Strong oral and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills.

·        Skill/interest in developing and implementing engaging exercises for practical application of class ideas that can be delivered in a one-with-one setting.  

·        Ability to maintain confidentiality of member advising sessions.

Qualifications:

Experience
One year of professional or academic experience in advising, or counseling. Minimal experience in business and leadership a plus.

Education
Master's degree in Counseling, or Psychology.
