We are currently looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join our team in the Franklin, TN office. We operate in a fast-moving environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks keeps things interesting! The Procurement department is a critical area of our business. When the department excels, it makes a significant impact on the company and positively affects our reputation with our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Source and procure all construction related material and equipment for multi-million-dollar programs while remaining on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage all aspects of procurement; bidding, negotiating, ordering, as well as transportation and receiving.
  • Ensure all contractual provisions related to subcontractors, supplier, warehouses for all our projects are followed, monitored and close out.
  • Coordination with freight forwarders, shippers, truckers, warehouses, and customers related to the shipping and handling of customer equipment and materials.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with freight forwarders, custom brokers, local pickup, and delivery companies, as well as other co-load carriers.
  • Knowledge of the complete process of shipment lifecycle such as developing shipping timelines, quoting freight, negotiating rates, arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation and handling (i.e., bill of lading, invoicing, certificate of origin, etc.) forwarding, follow-up with tracking and tracing to destination.
  • Maintain communication with vendor, shipper, customer, carrier throughout the process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs and delivery date.
  • Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Maintain SOP and customer warehouse/shipping profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates, and preferred vendors.
  • Ensure accurate costs and profits are maintained based on assigned budget.
  • Ability to create and share concise and accurate data to leadership.
  • Assist others with planning, forecasting, and reporting while driving continuous innovation and communication.
  • Maintain ordering forms for all clients including master lists with confidential pricing.
  • Review and approve all specialized equipment orders.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and CAD drawings necessary for proper order take-offs.
  • Continually revise equipment orders and budgets to keep in sync with current plans and scope of remodel.
  • Ensure all material meets customer specifications and is being procured at the most competitive prices.
  • Monitor and track against all equipment related issues.
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics required.

    1-3 years of Procurement or Logistics experience required.   
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans necessary for equipment take-offs.  Experience in Bluebeam and CAD are a plus.​​
  • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Retail/or Convenience Store experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Acute attention to detail.
