Job Summary

List of Responsibilities:
  • Manages flight reservations for Ocean, Small Ship, River and Land Products by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors
  • Manage all assigned programs to ensure all Air Operations timelines are met.
  • Review and complete all daily bookings ensuring that flights assigned are the best quality routing available, are within costing guidelines and meet requirements of airline contracts
  • Review all Preliminary Air Itineraries prior to mailing for accuracy and quality. Manage Airline Block space according to airline policies
  • Ticket all assigned programs according to airline contract requirements and costing guidelines
  • Initiate outbound calls to passengers to review flight itineraries according to set timelines and manage any requests and/or issues including schedule or flight changes
  • Initiate outbound calls to passengers requesting upgrades and air deviations, while increasing company revenue by reaching sales goals
  • Offer and respond to requests for alternate flight itineraries that meet budget and tour guidelines.
  • Meet departmental financial goals on all Flight reservations and meet internal and external Flights Department Quality Goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Three or more years of Sabre (or similar system) experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of airline tariffs and pricing, both private and published.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of airline contracts and airline routing.
  • Minimum of two years progressive customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient at problem solving.
  • Competent proficiency on MS Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, attain goals and remain flexible
