JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Financial Coordinator is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and negotiating budgets related to clinical trial activities. This position will negotiate contracts, Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), with sponsors and review any changes that may need to be made. The analyst will work in conjunction with a Contracts and Budgets team, as well as representatives from other medical research operations, sponsors, attorneys, governmental entities, and principal investigators as a necessary function of the job. The bulk of responsibility will lie with negotiating study budgets and managing site client receivables.
RESPONSIBILITES- Communicate verbally and in writing with Clients and Business related entities in a cordial, articulate and timely manner.
- Request clinical budget and contract documents from sponsors and CRO’s (Clinical Research Organization).
- Read and review Clinical trial/study protocols and develop a budget for negotiation purposes.
- Negotiate budgets and contract terms with sponsors, and prepare supporting documents for clinical trial budgets and memos as requested.
- Perform final accuracy review of contractual documents on a highly time-sensitive basis and assist in the coordination of the signature process.
- Maintain clinical budget/contract/discount/checklist information in appropriate database folders (Google Docs).
- Conduct monthly CRC/Site Calls
- Send invoices out on behalf of the clients on a monthly basis.
- Complete monthly Product Line Assessments with each client, update Salesforce.
- Consistently maintain general knowledge of Clinical Research and Study Protocols
- Convert Budget and Contract terms into a Template in a Clinical Trial Management System (RealTime).
- Begin to learn how to onboard new clients.
- Participate in special projects as requested.

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma (Bachelor’s Preferred)
- Proficient in working with Google/Microsoft spreadsheets and/or various database applications
- Must have excellent computer skills. High proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and/or QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Good judgment.
- High level of professionalism even in high pressure situations.
- Ability to work with fluctuating workloads and with multiple deadlines.
- High productivity and functionality within a team environment. Ability to work and interact with all personality types and levels of employees/clients.
Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledgeable of medical terminology and clinical healthcare concepts
- Knowledgeable of clinical, hospital or healthcare accounting or billing methodology/processes.
- Prior experience working with multi-specialty physician groups.
- Formal paralegal certification, license or equivalent legal training highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal contracts/documents.
- BA or BS in Business or Finance
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Moderate (10-25%) travel is required for this position.
