Currently, we are looking for an analytical and data-driven Regional Supply Chain Analyst (RSCA) to join our Supply Chain department. As a key member of our team, the Regional Supply Chain Analyst will help both the Sales Regions and the Purchasing Department analyze and optimize inventory strategies to drive sales and support growth initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
This individual will be involved in a wide variety of projects and initiatives that are focused on driving sales and profitability for an assigned Sales region. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will be highly interactive with all departments within the organization – Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, IT, and Purchasing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as the day-to-day “go-to” contact and liaison for the assigned Sales Region between Purchasing and Operations departments.
- Working closely with the Regional Managers, the RSCA is responsible for generating, communicating and monitoring regional monthly analytics which include Revenue, Margin, Products, Customers, Trends and Inventory Levels and Turns.
- Developing, maintaining, and facilitating a monthly Regional Review Meeting for each Branch in the assigned region that provides status updates of key actions / opportunities, inventory, customers and performance against Budget.
- Understanding the Region’s key objectives and opportunities in order to help coordinate and facilitate actions that result in growth and profitability for both the region and company.
- Provide internal communication to Purchasing, Operations and Marketing in order to drive and accomplish key actions, strategies and objectives for the assigned Region.
- Work with Vendors (existing and new) on product lead-times, specs, inventory and pricing in order to support Regional sales strategy and drive sales growth and profitability.
- Assist Purchasing in analyzing and adjusting inventory performance at the Branch and in the Region as it relates to stock levels, turns, trends and utilization.
- Company Growth Initiative champion in the assigned Region that drives awareness, reinforces strategy, continually educates and provide and constant support of key company Growth Initiatives in order to drive sales and profitability
- Support the Sales organization by developing proactive analyses and analytical tools and models to drive sales and profitability optimization
- Develop a product and inventory forecasting model (new and existing products) to support Sales and help Purchasing with managing inventory by optimizing inventory turns and working capital.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross functional teams to drive action and results
- Wire and cable industry experience preferred – Distribution and/or Manufacturing
- Wire and cable product and supplier knowledge
- Ability to effectively lead change within an organization
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to invent – create and develop new tools and analyses to help support sales and manage inventory strategies and performance
- The ability to work and navigate “gray areas”, develop logical options and solutions, and confidence to pick a path and execute
- The ability to push back and challenge topics and strategies, but work to an agreed upon solution with all stake-holders
- Demonstrated communications skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – especially Excel
- The ability to build custom analytical models focused on Sales & Margin, Profitability, Forecasting, and Inventory Management
