JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for partnering with the business and customers to setup systems and data collection tools per clinical study requirements. The incumbent becomes a Subject Matter Expert in clinical data standards, patient recruitment best practices, financial management requirements and data governance; determines rules, guidelines, best practices, standards and processes for efficiently configuring clinical studies in Elligo systems; helps members of the executive team with data governance and ultimately will work with customers and other stakeholders to ensure study requirements are met. The analyst is a key member of a small, dynamic solutions delivery team which supports critical facets of a fast-growing clinical research company.
Essential Functions

Setup/configure systems to support clinical studies including source data collection, budgets, study workflows and patient workflows

Ensure user acceptance testing is performed by appropriate personnel before deploying a study configuration for use; use version control and release notification processes to communicate changes to the users

Communicate/train study team members on the study setup (e.g. rollout of source data collection templates to Study Coordinators; communicate patient workflows to Patient Recruiting teams)

Maintain implementation of industry standards, data collection and other standards defined by Elligo

Ensure applicable regulatory and industry regulations are followed

Collaborate with all stakeholders to define and document requirements and ensure system setup meets all requirements across Customers and Elligo (e.g. Patient Engagement, Study Managers, Medical, Data Science, Finance, Executive Reporting, etc.)

Propose new standards and rules to management and participate in data governance groups

Work with the technology solutions teams, especially Product Management and Quality Engineering, to continually enhance Elligo systems where opportunities exist for improvement. Participate in testing and/or UAT of proprietary system releases

Routinely analyze reporting trends, usage metrics, etc. for continuous improvement

Keep abreast of industry trends, especially around study data collection, study financial management, study operations and regulations

Other duties as assigned by leadership
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Data Management or other technically focused discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities of the job is required

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Little travel is required for this position (less than 10%).
