Job Summary:

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving, fulfilling, and supporting the content requirements of the company’s marketing and Public Relations programs – and take an active managing role in the execution of these campaigns. Works closely with iBASEt’s global marketing, sales, and business development teams as well as lead the marketing agencies that the company works closely with.

Essential Functions:

  • Content Marketing Expert:  Passionate writer that understands how to prepare and edit lead generation campaigns, the supporting content, and PR materials that effectively communicate the company’s positioning and overall messaging themes. Ideally, the candidate has experience marketing to the manufacturing industry and can draw upon this knowledge to articulate solution value propositions to be in alignment with the challenges that midsized and enterprise manufacturers face in their digital transformation. This is not a “pure” writing role, but more of an editorial “gatekeeper” to ensure all content is on message and relevant to the challenges faced by today’s discrete manufacturing industry.

  • Collaborative Lead Generation Campaign Manager:  Work in conjunction with the company’s global marketing team in the development and execution of the company’s marketing and awareness programs. Active management of these campaigns, projects, and supporting tasks will be an equally important factor in your success, as part of the shared business goals of the Marketing Team.

  • Active Manager of iBASEt’s Writer Community:  Work with and maintain a pool of qualified writers that help support the company’s overall content marketing program. This includes writers that prepare blog posts, product collateral, eBooks, whitepapers, press releases, and contributed articles suitable for media consumption.

  • Sales Enablement: Provide support in the reinforcement of iBASEt’s unique value propositions and messaging as part of all internal and external communications; help develop the content associated with customer reference program, including the preparation of success stories, videos, and quotes to communicate the unique value proposition iBASEt delivers to its customers.

  • Analytics:  Define and track success metrics around content driven marketing programs and associated demand generation campaigns to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement and future content topics. Provide support to prepare monthly tracking reports presented to management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of how to define and execute successful marketing campaigns that drive engagement by target audiences with well written, compelling content

  • Experienced in actively managing third party writers or agencies, including the setting of goals and objectives, and the necessary follow up to complete projects in a timely manner

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Ability to shift focus quickly, based on new deadlines or projects as needed while proactively taking the initiative to see existing projects through to completion

  • A sense of creativity to help drive new content topics, helping to bring in a steady stream of prospects to the iBASEt community

  • Excellent people, communication, and project management skills to effectively interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers across different geographical regions.

  • Must demonstrate a passion for self-improvement

  • Office 365 experience required; WordPress and HubSpot experience a plus

  • Must be willing to travel 10%.

Required Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or the equivalent experience is required

  • 5+ years of experience in writing and/or editing marketing materials within a b2b software marketing environment serving the complex discrete manufacturing industry
