JOB SUMMARY:


The Vice President, Patient Partnerships manages the Patient Partnership departmental team and budget and directs the technical and operational aspects of the Patient Partnerships Department including confirmation and coordination of scope of Patient Partnerships work on new opportunities, establishment and maintenance of strategic vendor partners, oversight of Patient Partnerships delivery in a matrix-based environment and reporting to executive leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President, Patient Partnerships is responsible for the strategy, infrastructure and execution of patient recruitment for clinical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of Elligo’s core patient recruitment competencies
  • Management of Patient Partnerships team including establishment of and justification for departmental headcount
  • Oversight of Patient Partnerships team member delivery as key contributors to matrix-based project teams
  • Assure compliance of Patient Partnership work with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance of productive relationships with other functional teams including Data Science, IT, Medical, Project Management and Research Operations as needed to foster successful development and execution of recruitment strategies
  • Collaboration with IT leadership to develop technical solutions in support of accelerated enrollment
  • Management of departmental budget and oversight of recruitment spend inclusive of tracking attributable revenue and return on investment
  • Development and maintenance of intelligence related to competitive landscape
  • Identification and qualification of external recruitment vendors
  • Maintenance of productive strategic relationships with external recruitment partners
  • Define and maintain department level KPIs
  • Report to executive leadership on departmental strategy and contributions, highlighting risks and proactively proposing mitigation options
  • Other duties as defined by company leaders

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:
  • BS/BA in Life Science or related discipline
  • Experience running patient recruitment operations at enterprise level
  • 10 years of clinical research industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience specific to patient recruitment, 10+ years in this functional area a plus
  • 2+ years of direct supervision at manager level
  • Previous GCP training and certification

Preferred:
  • Location:  HQ – Austin, TX, preferred however remote is acceptable

Essential Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and recruitment principles and competitive landscape specific to clinical research
  • Ability to independently and collaboratively create and manage recruitment strategy at enterprise level
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage a team in a high demand environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining patient recruitment budgets
  • Cross-functional collaborative capabilities
  • Exceptional management, leadership, judgement and organizational skills
  • Strong prioritization skills for the management of multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (MS Office skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and with clinical trial master filing systems


WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Regular local and regional travel as required for this position (less than 25%)
